Pre and Post Tours
After selecting a BETEX expedition, Trade Attendees can take advantage of additional tour and accommodation options during their visit to Belize. These offers are only available to registered trade participants. These pre- and post- tours are valid one week prior to the event, and one week following the event.
Offers can only be submitted by registered Suppliers, and it is strictly prohibited for Suppliers to host trade participants during the days of the event, outside of their pre-arranged itineraries (June 23 – 27).
Arrangements and payments for these offers are to be made directly between the supplier and the attendee.

LA MILPA FIELD STATION
3 Days/ 2 Nights
Day 1: PfB will provide transportation to have you picked up from the Marketplace in Cayo. You will be met and escorted by a Programme for Belize Representative. Ground Transportation from Cayo will be approximately 3.5 hours. Upon arrival at the Field Station our warm and friendly staff will welcome and assist you in settling into your private thatched-roof cabana. Mid afternoon we will take a short tour on the Mahogany Trail. After dinner take an exploratory night walk in search of wildlife and nocturnal birds. Overnight: La Milpa Field Station Cabañas. (L, D)
Day 2: Rise for an Early Morning Bird Walk. The field station is surrounded by an extensive system of trails where you will often find species such as the Red-capped Manakin, Blue-crowned Motmot, Ornate Hawk-Eagle, Ocellated Turkey, Keel-billed Toucan, and Slaty-tailed Trogon. After breakfast walk in the footsteps of the ancient Maya on our tour of the third largest ancient Maya city of La Milpa, located only three miles from the La Milpa Field Station. In the afternoon, you will trek the Medicinal nature trail where you will explore the Rio Bravo Forests on a trail roughly 0.4 miles in length. After dinner take an optional exploratory night walk in search of wildlife. Overnight: La Milpa Field Station Cabañas. (B, L, D)
Day 3: After enjoying Breakfast you will departure to Field Station and transported to the Phillip Goldson International Airport if you have a departure flight. We will also alternatively transport you to Belize City where you can continue your journey visiting the wonders that Belize offers. (B)
