The Belize Tourism Expo (BETEX) is a business-to-business event showcasing Belize travel destinations, hotels, tour operators, and other tourism service providers. It is an exclusive opportunity for international travel resellers (trade visitors) to meet, network, negotiate and conduct business with local travel suppliers (exhibitors), learn more about Belize, and experience the destination first-hand.BETEX is an initiative of the Belize Tourism Industry Association (BTIA) – Belize’s leading national private sector tourism association. BETEX was first organized in 1996 and now takes place every two years, attracting approximately 300 – 350 local and international tourism professionals and press representatives.

By attending BETEX, participants effectively and productively gain immediate competitive advantage for their businesses and stay abreast of the latest developments in Belize. Trade visitors can increase profitability through business interaction, destination education and personal encounters. Local exhibitors have the opportunity to showcase their products and conduct business with international trade partners.

BETEX is open to registered participants only.  Following arrivals and the welcome reception on April 25, Belize’s top suppliers will exhibit at a tradeshow at the Princess Hotel in Belize City on April 26 from 7:30 a.m to 3:00 p.m.  The tradeshow will feature booth displays, one-on-one business meetings (with pre-scheduled appointments) and seminars.  All delegates will then transfer to San Pedro for dinner and overnight. Trade visitors then have the option to depart on April 27 or participate in Post Tours (3 additional nights with international departures on April 30).  Post tours allow visitors to immerse themselves in the product, and learn first hand how to sell Belize.  Belize’s rich cultural diversity will be highlighted throughout the BETEX event.
